Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how nTuned ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the nTuned mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account information: When you sign up using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from the authentication provider.
Profile information: Username (handle), display name, profile photo, scene preferences, and city/region you choose to add to your profile.
Vehicle information: Year, make, model, trim, and any photos you associate with vehicles in your build profile.
User-generated content: Posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, meet listings, and any other content you create or share in the App.
Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support requests you send us.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Location data: With your permission, we collect approximate location (city/region) to show nearby meets and posts. We do not track precise location in the background. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Device and usage information: Device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and basic usage analytics.
Subscription status: Whether you have an active nTuned+ subscription, managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

Authentication providers: Apple and Google share basic profile information when you sign in.
In-app purchases: Apple processes all subscription transactions; we receive purchase confirmation events from RevenueCat to determine your subscription tier.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and maintain your account.
Show you relevant meets, posts, and builds based on your scenes and location.
Enable social features (following, liking, commenting, RSVPing, posting).
Generate AI-assisted modifications of your vehicle photos when you use the AI Mod Visualizer feature (requires nTuned+ subscription).
Process subscription purchases and manage feature access.
Communicate with you about updates, security, or support.
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms.
Improve and develop new features.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only as described below:

3.1 Service Providers

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (United States).
RevenueCat — subscription management.
Apple — Sign-In with Apple, In-App Purchases, App Store distribution.
Google — Sign-In with Google, Google Maps SDK for displaying meets.
Mapbox — address autocomplete and reverse geocoding.
OpenAI — image generation for the AI Mod Visualizer feature; vehicle photos you upload to this feature are sent to OpenAI for processing.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide their services.

3.2 Other Users

Content you post publicly (posts, photos, videos, comments, meets, profile information) is visible to other authenticated users of the App. Your username, display name, and profile photo are publicly visible.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of nTuned, our users, or others.

3.4 Business Transfers

If nTuned is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or control.

4. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Posts, comments, meets: Retained while published. You can delete your own content at any time.
AI Mod Visualizer outputs: Stored for your access; deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
Backup copies: May persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Access and Deletion

You can:

Edit your profile and content at any time within the App.
Delete your account from the in-app Settings menu, which permanently removes your profile, posts, comments, RSVPs, follows, and uploaded media.
Request a copy of your data by emailing the address below.

5.2 Permissions

You can revoke iOS permissions (location, photos, camera) at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.

5.3 California, Virginia, Colorado, and Other State Residents

If you reside in a U.S. state with applicable consumer privacy laws, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or port your information, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.

5.4 Children Under 13

nTuned is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage at rest (Supabase Postgres & Storage), and access controls (Row-Level Security policies). However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Users

The App is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new "Last Updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice within the App.
